May 14, 2024.- For the third consecutive year, Los Cabos will be present at IMEX Frankfurt, the most relevant European event for the events and meetings industry, which takes place from May 14 to 16, 2024 at Messe, Frankfurt, Germany. On this occasion, Los Cabos will be represented by 10 strategic partners, including hotels and destination management companies (DMCs), reinforcing its position as a leading destination for groups and incentives. During the event, the Mexican consulate in Frankfurt, Condor and the Los Cabos Tourism Trust (FITURCA) will announce the new direct air route between this German city and Los Cabos, which will begin operating on November 3 and will offer two weekly flights until April 2025. They will also promote the wide offerings that the destination has for the meetings industry. Inside the Los Cabos stand, the German airline Condor will display a prototype aircraft that highlights the new seat offering, designed to promote the direct route. This connection will not only improve connectivity, but will significantly increase the tourist flow from Germany to Baja California Sur, providing German travelers with a unique experience full of nature, security, gastronomy and culture. “Each event in which we participate to promote the promotion of Los Cabos involves prior planning aimed at achieving the dissemination objectives that we set for ourselves. In this edition of IMEX, we have scheduled more than 450 meetings with event organizers and meeting planners, and we have set out to exceed the 52 leads generated, which allows us to show the growing interest in this destination,” said Rodrigo Esponda, general director of FITURCA. “The prominent presence of Los Cabos at IMEX, with its own pavilion, has been possible thanks to the continuous support of the private sector through Fiprotur,” he added. During his visit to Frankfurt, Los Cabos met with the sales and marketing team of Dertouristik, the largest tour operator in Germany. In addition, training sessions were held for its travel agents, with the aim of deepening the advantages and attractions of Los Cabos as a tourist destination and strengthening the marketing of trips to the Mexican destination. A pre-IMEX event of particular relevance is Los Cabos’ sponsorship of SITE NITE Europe 2024, which was held the night before IMEX and brought together more than 400 incentive tourism professionals. This meeting is an ideal opportunity to forge new alliances and share the culture of Los Cabos with the global sector. Los Cabos has established itself as one of the main options for holding groups and incentives in Mexico. It is expected that next year Germany will be positioned as its third most important international market, which is why the commitment in this country has been redoubled.
