It’s no secret that the fun and social sport of pickleball has gained popularity in the last few years. Pickleball is a combination of tennis, badminton and ping pong. According the the USA Pickleball website, Pickleball was invented in 1965 on Bainbridge Island, a short ferry ride from Seattle, Washington. Three dads – Joel Pritchard, Bill Bell, and Barney McCallum — whose kids were bored with their usual summertime activities — are credited for creating the game. Pickleball has evolved from original handmade equipment and simple rules into a popular sport. And now it’s widely available and offered internationally.

Offers three (3) clay pickleball courts, pickleball clinics and private classes. Courts are open for play during the day from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm (no night play). Pickleball tournaments are available as an activity for groups.

Pickleball 101 | Beginner clinic: This clinic is best suited for the never-ever played, or the only tried playing pickleball with a friend. This clinic covers the fundamentals of the game- from safety, grip, paddle positioning, dinking, serve/return, and game-playing with scoring explanations. Wednesdays & Fridays | 9:00 am to 10:00 am

Pickleball 102 | Advanced beginner clinic: This clinic is best suited for the person who has only played pickleball a few times and feels like they are beginning to understand the game but would like to make sure they are playing it correctly. The objective of this clinic is to assist pliers with a drill to improve fundamental skills and teamwork through court positioning. This is more of an advanced beginner clinic.Wednesdays & Fridays | 10:00 am to 11:00 am
