Eclectic Array Boutiques
With six boutiques in Los Cabos, owner Faryn Clark of Eclectic Array works with artisan communities all over Mexico to give fair trade and sustainable opportunities. With a wide range of products – from clothing, swimwear, bags, jewelry, and accessories – the stores’ mission is to operate with positive social impact and empower artisans who create beautiful handmade products. Each of their locations is uniquely curated, with Montage hotel having the largest collection to shop from. Eclectic Array also has stores in downtown Cabo San Lucas, downtown San Jose del Cabo, and Flora Farms. Some of their most popular items sold include embroidered Converse shoes, indigenous hand-woven dog collars, and Mexican-made Oro leggings.
Jewelry
Most Mexican-made jewelry found in Los Cabos is made of 0.925 silver that comes from the mining town of Taxco, Guerrero. The Ballesteros Family Workshop (Talleres de Los Ballesteros) is a stand-out store to browse and buy quality pieces. Originating in Taxco in 1937, they have always used traditional techniques in their craftsmanship and have more than 80 years of perfecting their art. Each piece is carefully crafted with tradition, vanguard, and exclusivity to cater to an array of tastes and preferences.
Hand-Blown Glass Factory
A locally made and sourced craft of Los Cabos, Vitrofusion y Arte Glass Factory (Fabrica de Vidrio) is a place to find unique blown glass pieces of all sizes, shapes, and colors. The kaleidoscopic shop is certain to leave a memorable impression, and be sure not to miss out on one of the factory tours. Fun Fact: Much of the glass used for their creations come from recycled glass bottles of the local community – pretty and eco-friendly!
Don’t Miss in Cabo San Lucas
Magic of the Moon – original, designer apparel by Pepita Nelson since 1991 that is locally made in Cabo. Gauze kimonos, linen dresses, silk ponchos, and custom marble scarfs are just some of the amazing finds here.
Don’t Miss in San Jose del Cabo
Thursday Night Art Walk’s in Winter/Spring – a “must” event during the season, Thursday night art walks in downtown San Jose del Cabo showcase painting, sculptures, and arts and crafts from talented local artists. If you can’t make it on Thursday, no fret, many of the physical galleries are open daily.
Casa by the Sea – high-end Mexican furnishings, art and gifts for home and lifestyle curated by Interior Designer Beatriz Redo and Michelle Trulaske. There are two entrances: one off the main Plaza Mijares, and the back entrance that resembles a private, colonial home. Every corner in the shop is arranged to take you back to its original inspiration: the sea.
Shima Shima – a boutique shop full of colorful neon finds; all products are designed and made with love in Mexico. From pom-pom accessories made in Chiapas, beach throw bayadas from the Pacific Coast, and cute embroidered clutches from Oaxaca, this fun and funky shop is not to be missed.
